Scratch and Betty Blaize on WGBH's Greater Boston with Jared Bowen talking about The Wrathskellar and burlesque.  October 5, 2011

The Wrathskellar 2011

The promo video for this year's edition of our Halloween tradition.  Produced by the talented Dave D'Aranjo.

Scratch, "The Wall of Death"

Scratch, a bullwhip, and a hapless volunteer from Kalliope's Karavan on August 27.  Upon learning that there were three extremely talented magicians and New England's leading mentalist in the show, Scratch did what he always does when faced with a challenge – he cheated.  Deciding any feat of skill he did would pale next to the talents of these four resourceful gentlemen, he did this diverting con.

Footage filmed and provided by the skilled Dr. Wilson (one of the aforementioned magicians).

Betty Blaize, "Sex Spider"

This is one of the first videos we ever shot.  I think it holds up very well! The music is by Gogol Bordello and the dancer is the multi-talented Betty Blaize. This was filmed at The Cambridge YMCA Theater in October 2006 during the second Out for Blood.  We'll be returning to The Cambridge YMCA Theater in October 2010 with a new Halloween show, The Wrathskellar.

Miss Mina, "Blue Angel"

This was shot at the late, lamented Ioka Theater up in Exeter, New Hampshire.  Truly one of the most beautiful places we've ever had the privilege to perform, the current fate of The Ioka is up in the air.
